umm... i think you can decrease the brightness first and then increase the contrast for darker pictures... decreasing the gamma also helps.. that's what i always do anyways :D hahaha... goodluck!

hows it going? just wondering if you knew of a way to get a pencil drawing onto a computer. ive used a scanner but it comes in too light. if you have any ideas write me if you want.

Thanks for the comment on my inking. Its quite nice coming from such a fine inker as yourself. I also like how our styles contrast: you use a very bold almost noir style effect, whilst I will tend to rely more on hatching and simple line for a 'gray' effect.

Regardless, I am very impressed.
